Education And Society

In the country of the United States Of America, there is a combination of people who receive a good education, and those who do not. However, there is a severe amount of individuals who do not receive a vital education. Because of this issue, I will be writing about social inequality in the realm of education, within the United States Of America. While in the United States Of America, individuals obtain a college degree by high measures, America ranks lower in more basic aspects of education compared to other countries. There are also individuals who have social disadvantages based around Academic Performance, Class, Ethnicity and Race. On the Scholastic Assessment Test, white individuals and Asians in America score equally common, while other races do not.

An example of this aspect is Latino and non-Latino White american individuals score by a basic amount of two-hundred points, and american individuals who score three-hundred points underneath the estimate of white individuals are African american individuals. Examples of why these situations occur is because young African american individuals have a small amount of educational resources. Also, young Latino individuals do not have enough skill in the English language, making it hard for them to progress through an american school. A study was done which showed that only twelve-percent of Latino and Native Americans finish their education in college. At home, children are disadvantaged at both home and school, which can vary depending on a family with high incomes and families with low income.

In conclusion, while these examples are only of but a few, it still shows how individuals are a academic disadvantages in many ways. Therefore, we can hope that the inequalities of education will decrease overtime.
